Privacy Policy
I want to process as little personal information as possible when you use this website.
Website analytics
I use Jetpack Stats, the analytics built into WordPress, to understand how people find and use this website. It’s provided by Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com.
To count visits, Jetpack Stats processes information such as your IP address, browser type, the page you visited, the website that referred you, the time of your visit, your browser language and your country. If you’re logged in to a WordPress.com account, it may also use your WordPress.com user ID and username.
I only see aggregated statistics, such as page views, referring websites, search terms and visitor locations. I can’t see your IP address or identify you as an individual. Automattic keeps the logs containing IP addresses for 28 days, after which only the aggregated statistics are kept. Automattic is based in the US, so this information may be processed outside the UK. You can read more in Automattic’s privacy policy.
Why I use it
I use this information to understand traffic to this website so that I can continually improve my website and business. The lawful basis under the UK GDPR is legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).
Your rights
